“The landing page of a startup has to be the most important touchpoint for both the brand and the business.
It sets up the positioning that tells people it’s going to solve their problem, and perhaps most importantly, if this product is for them. Do they identify with its mission?
”
At Foveate I went through probably a hundred iterations of the site and product, fine-tuning it as we figured out our Ideal Customer Profile, and then eventually what product we were perceived to be solving for them.
Eventually we’d go from being a very technical 3D product for designers and enthusiasts interested in technology to rebranding and honing in on architects, real estate, and experiential professionals who wanted to sell their ideas better.
We went from a dark, tech, and web 3D graphics styling to a light mode, designer-focused, friendlier site that promised a transformation of having your design ideas be easily sold to others.
I wanted the new site to feel very cohesive with a similar structure across the dozens of pages that could be replicated and then customized easily, such as adding a dark mode design for industries like Events and Experiential that frequently use that kind of styling.
I taught myself how to vibe-design with Cursor AI and Claude to do all the designing so I could skip Figma, and then I generated many of the assets using Midjourney so I could have the look I was going for that could show architects and designers winning deals or working in beautifully designed office spaces. That way I could show the transformation of Foveate’s brand promise, selling your ideas and creating better client relations.
