3D Teaser Site and Waiting List

Gauging Interest

Before putting all of our efforts behind Foveate we wanted to test the market. I suggested we create a teaser site that had a survey to understand what 3D software people in the industry were using so we could build workflows for the most popular ones, and see how many people would be willing to sign up for a 3D Presentation product, even if it didn’t exist yet.

How can we validate the market before we commit to building out the product?

In order to acquire the interest of the right group of users, I made contact with the folks at McNeel, the makers of the popular CAD program, Rhino, which I had used daily at my old job when I was an experiential architect.

I knew this was what super users executed incredible projects in and thought that with McNeel being a private yet very open-minded company would help us reach the right group of people.

We ended up getting 150+ sign ups on our first day off of the Rhino Blog and their newsletter alone.
